If

It was an ordinary monday. Or so I touhgt. I woke up ten to seven and was freezing on the bus stop for twenty minutes before the bus was kind enough to arrive. I ran to the first class because I was already late. My history teacher didn´t even notice. After  lunch I had some extra time. So I went to the library. My friend called me. She said that one of her friends invited her to a party. She wanted me to go with her. I wasn´t sure. Unlike me, Celia loved partying.
“Please Mia. I need you to come with me. I don´t want to be the only one who doesn´t know anyone there”, she tried to persuade me.
“I´m sure you know some of the people. Besides you have a boyfriend, ask him”, I answered.
“He is coming”, she said.
“See, your’re not alone.”
“But still”, she tried.
“No, I really don´t wanna go”, I said firmly.
“I can drive you there but thats all”, I said before I hang up.

Later in the evening Celia came to my house. She was pretty nervous. She cloudn´t stop talking.
“Are you sure”, she asked.
“Yeah, I´m sure”, I answered.
“Okey, come on I am late.”
“Thats not my fault”, I reminded her.
In the car I put the radio on.
“Turn up”, Celia begged.
“I don´t like this song”, I said but turned the volume up a little bit. Celia stared at her phone all the time and finally I had to ask.
“Who you waiting for?”
“Andrew pomised to call when he arrives.”
“He must be late” I said trying to calm her down.
“Yeah you’re probably right”, she nodded.
“I´m always right”, I smiled. Celia laughed. She seemed to forget her worries and nervousness. I tuned left to the parking lot.
“Okey listen. I wait for you here till midnight, but then I´ll go home so you better be here by then”, I told her.
“Okey okey. l will be here on time. I love you”, she said and hugged me.
“Have fun!”

I read my book until the clok was half past eleven. I put the radio on and closed my eyes. Before I even noticed I was a sleep. I sarteled up. It was past midnight. I didn´t see Celia anywhere. I marched to the door and knocked. The door opened and a tall good looking guy looked at me.
“Can I help you?”, he asked confused.
“Is Celia here?”, I asked.
“Yeah, she’s sleeping on the couch”, the boy answered.
“Argh!” The guy let me in the house. I went straight to the living room.
“Celia get up!”, I shouted.
“What. . .where. . .mom don´t scream it´s saturday”, she mumbled.
“Now get up or I tell you mom that you weren´t at our place tonight and you were drunk”, I said angrily.
“Okey I´ll get up”, she sighed. I dragged Celia in the back seat of my car. I handed her a blanket and told her to sleep.
“Mia, I am so sorry”, she whispered.
“It´s okey. There are times when you screw up big time but there are also times when you are able to keep a tiny crum of your confidence”.
“Andrew broke up with me”, she cried.
“Oh I am so sorry Celia. Trye to get some sleep now and clear your head”, I said softly.

I went to my own seat and turned on the car. I took a deep breath. It was hard to keep my eyes open. It was dangerous to drive tired but even more to  let Celia drive. So I started slowly and carefully. Lamp posts swope the road. I slowed down and turned to the right only to notice that a red car that was driving on the wrong side of the road was coming closer and closer. Boom! The last thing I heard was Celia screaming my name and an ambulance siren.
